Cookie Policy
Last updated 7 June 2026 — draft, pending solicitor review
This Cookie Policy explains how Copacetic Legal Technologies Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and within Copacetic. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Service to work — keeping you signed in via Supabase Auth (session, refreshed while active), CSRF protection (session), and your cookie consent choice, stored in local storage until you clear it or use "Cookie preferences" in the footer. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent.
3. Functional cookies
Offered in our cookie banner for choices such as theme and layout preferences. No functional-preference cookies are currently set beyond the strictly necessary cookies above; this category is available for transparency as functionality is added.
4. Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool — it sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifier, only aggregated page-view counts. It loads only if you choose "Accept all" or enable Analytics under "Manage" in the cookie banner.
5. Managing your preferences
You can choose which optional categories to accept via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, which reopens the banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.
6. Third parties
Billing runs on Stripe's own hosted pages; cookies set there are governed by Stripe's cookie and privacy policies, not this one. Sentry, used for server-side error monitoring, does not set tracking cookies in our configuration.
